01Who we are

TARUS is a software studio based in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India, run by Ashmit as an individual proprietor trading as Tarus. We design and build web platforms, desktop software and cloud systems for our clients. For any privacy question, email tarus.sales@gmail.com.

02Information you give us

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive:

• your name and email address;
• the details you write about your project, business or question;
• anything else you choose to send us, such as files or links.

Please don't send passwords, payment card details or other sensitive personal data through the form.

03Information collected automatically

Like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical logs when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page visited and the time. These are used only to keep the site running, secure and protected from abuse (for example, to limit repeated contact-form submissions).

This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or tracking pixels, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

04How we use your information

• to reply to your enquiry and discuss your project;
• to prepare proposals and quotes, and to deliver and support work you ask us to do;
• to keep records of our conversations and agreements;
• to protect the website and our services from spam and misuse.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we won't add you to a mailing list without asking.

05Who we share it with

We only share information with services we need to run this website and our business:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and processes the contact form request;
• Google (Gmail), which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox and stores our email.

These providers handle data under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

06How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. If we don't end up working together, we delete them within 24 months. For clients, we keep project correspondence for as long as needed for the work and for our legal and accounting records.

07Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to any records we must keep by law. Email tarus.sales@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. These rights include those under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

08Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our inbox and project systems is restricted to our team. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

09Our products
